The music world lost a very special man this past weekend. Gig Michaels, the larger than life singer and songwriter for the Southern Rock band Swamp da Wamp, died from complications stemming from pneumonia on Sunday, January 3rd. Gig was a great friend and a superior talent, but also an activist in anti-bullying campaigns, a huge supporter of American Troops and Vets and a staunch supporter of Native American rights, including work with NAHA, The Native American Heritage Association, which stages the Rock Legends Cruise each year.

Swampdawamp has worked hard over the past 15 years, recording and touring, and have just released a new album. A huge tour was to follow, and the sky was the limit. We loive and miss Gig, and wanted to pay tribute in the only way we know how - with his music, and one of the past interviews we conducted with the dynamic front man. This conversation aired live on KUDZOO Radio, the Sunday before Christmas in 2013. Godspeed my brother. See you in the Light. -Buffalo
